The Northern California Iaido Association; the Iaido branch of the Northern California Kendo Federation will be holding a summer Iaido Seminar on the weekend of Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd.

It is also with great pleasure that our Chief Instructor for our 2008 Iaido Summer Camp will be Ito Tomoharu sensei, the Chief Iaido instructor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Iaido, Kyoshi Hachi Dan, Kendo Kyoshi Hachi Dan.

The venue will be Stuart Hall High School, located at 1715 Octavia Street,Close to Japan Town in San Francisco.

Enclosed, you will find a schedule of fees, an application form, a liability waiver and schedule. The deadline for applications and fees is Saturday, July 5th th. Late registrations will be accepted up to Saturday, July 19 th with a $20.00 late fee. Depending on participation and registration numbers, we may take late registrants up to the day of the seminar.

We are currently looking into the possibility of having a shinsa on the afternoon of Sunday the 2 nd. More information will be available later regarding this. If you are interested in participating in a shinsa at this seminar, please contact Richard Hill at iaido@nckf.org.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation and are encouraged to find a hotel close to the venue as parking is very difficult in this part of San Francisco. The closest airport is obviously San Francisco International which is 20 minutes south of the city.

The cost of this years seminar is $125.00 for AUSKF members, and $145.00 for Non AUSKF Members. Single day participation is $75.00 for both AUSKF and Non AUSKF members. Bento is $10.00 per day.

A group Dinner will be held Saturday Night at a yet to be determined location. Dinner cost is expected to be $25.00-$30.00 per person.
